Coquina is intentionally independent. Clients work directly with the person thinking through the strategy and shaping the work, with trusted specialists brought in when the project calls for them.
Coquina Digital started the way most useful tools do—out of necessity. Before founding the studio, Thomas Dauphinais worked across business development, construction management, and software development, and kept running into the same problem: the off-the-shelf tools never quite fit how the work actually got done. So he started building his own—job costing systems for construction projects, inventory and sales tracking for manufacturing operations, and the everyday tools that day-to-day teams actually need.
That hands-on experience, solving real operational problems rather than theoretical ones, is still the foundation of how Coquina works today: listen first, build what's actually needed, and make sure it holds up under real use.
